Sashiko Exhibition in Gifu | March 10th ~ 18th

Culture & Community Salon in SEINO | Information of Sashiko Exhibition in Gifu.

Otsuchi Recovery Sashiko Project | Sashiko Exhibition with their lecture, Keiko Futatsuya.

We are happy to announce that Otsuchi Sashiko Project is hosting their Sashiko Exhibition in Gifu Prefecture.

Keiko Futatsuya (Sashi.Co) is an advisor to Otsuchi Sashiko project regarding Sashiko technique and designing. It has been almost 6 years since Atsushi and Keiko had met to Otsuchi Sashiko Project. Over these years, their skills have been getting better and better. It is a great opportunity to enjoy, feel, and touch the power of hand-crafting.

Sashiko Exhibition

Sashiko is a form of stitching to strengthen the fabric. It was a wisdom of ordinary people in Japan to survive in poverty.

The simplicity of Sashiko helped to start the recovery project after the earthquake Japan. We have been seeing the power of hand-crafting to make a community, and the Otsuchi Sashiko project has been functioning as the community business.
